Through the help of music impresario Mark Ede The Anchor has been fortunate enough to have welcomed some extraordinary talented singer song writing artists from all over the world and continue to do so.   

With a room directly above the bar area, it is an avenue for serious music imbibers, a truly rare opportunity, to be 'exclusive' up close and listen to the most exceptional music talent that exists out there - attracting major artists.

Christened 'UK's best female voice' by the Daily Mirror who, according to Classic Rock, 'writes lip bitingly beautiful songs', Jo Harman is a multi million streaming, award winning and BBC Radio 2 play-listed artist. She is one of Europe's most respected talents, having performed at prestigious festivals and venues all over the world: the O2 Arena, Royal Albert Hall, and Parkpop in The Hague (to 250k people) to name but three.

Mo Pleasure Returns this December....

This exclusive event is a coup for us, even by Anchor Sessions standards when we welcome the return of US superstar Musical Director to the stars to our intimate venue. The stars in question include Michael Jackson's final tour (Mo also features in the feature film 'This Is It'), Earth Wind and Fire, Ray Charles, George Duke, Natalie Cole, Dianne Reeves, Roberta Flack, Christina Aguilera, Michael McDonald, Average White Band and David Foster to name but a few.

Mo returns on the 17th of December for two exclusive shows following up on his sell out performances earlier in the year, tickets are already selling out fast so be sure to book your place so you don’t miss out…

With multiple awards as 'best' jazz vocalist - from the likes of the BBC, Parliamentary and Jazz FM Awards, to name but three - Ian Shaw has been named, along with Mark Murphy and Kurt Elling, as one of the world’s finest male jazz vocalists
